We typically work under Special Power of Attorney, which allows our clients - the Principal to give as specific authority that may be limited by time frame or scope. Examples: such as buying or selling a business, house, land or building.

 A general power of attorney grants your attorney (the Agent) authority to make financial and legal decisions on behalf you (the Principal). This is suitable if you will be out of the country for several months or years. It gives the attorney extensive powers to carry out transactions such as personal and business financial transactions, bill payments,  real estate management, and  filing your tax returns.  

A lasting power of attorney (property & finance) allows you to appoint one or more people (the attorneys) to help you take care of your property and financial matters for a long period. Lasting Power of Attorney must be registered with Office of the Public Guardian It's power will include  

• managing a bank or building society account
• paying bills such as Council Tax
• applying for/ collecting benefits or a pension
• selling your business, home or other building
